Welcome!

To The Hot Tin Roof Review.

The name is a reference to Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, which is one of many works where Williams proved he was a voice for his generation. Ever since I can remember, I have been writing about movies. For me, it’s not about whether or not people agree with me. It’s about being the bridge between the silver screen and people like you, the voice of a current culture. It is a culture that is saturated with various forms of media, from television to social networks and from e-books to film.sign up

When we ponder a painting or listen to music, we think about the form or the meaning of what the artist is trying to convey. Likewise, the goal of this blog is to challenge us all to think. To think outside our comfort zone, to think about why a film touches us the way it does, or to think that we may want to see a film that we had written off. While you will find categories and tags here, they are not designed to limit the way you view a film but to be used as a guidepost.

Film critics are supposed to be a voice, a bridge, a link to the world. A sensible voice! If you like what you read, please post a comment. If you disagree with an opinion, I welcome your constructive criticism because it opens a dialog from which all can benefit. No matter where you land, come back often.
